Portage la Prairie RCMP are reporting that a 39-year-old male suspect has been arrested and charged in connection to a police investigation involving drug trafficking in the community.
As part of an ongoing investigation, Portage la Prairie RCMP recently executed a search warrant at a residence located on 9th Street NW.
Police say that as a result of the search, officers seized 647 grams of suspected crack cocaine, illicit cannabis and more than $7,500 in Canadian currency. Members estimate the street value of the seized drugs at $65,000.
RCMP report that 39-year-old Frank Tecza has been charged with trafficking, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He was remanded into custody.
