Selkirk RCMP are reporting that a 30-year-old Winnipeg man has been arrested and charged in connection to a stabbing incident that occurred in the community.
On April 21, 2024, at approximately 9:25pm, Selkirk RCMP received a report of a male victim at the hospital who had been stabbed.
Police investigation determined that the man had been with two other adults, when he got into an altercation with one of the adults and was subsequently stabbed. The victim, a 55-year-old male, remains in hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP report that on April 28, 30-year-old Darien Williams of Winnipeg was arrested. Williams has been charged with a number of offences including aggravated assault, assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and failing to comply.
