Nelson House RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing man from the area, 32-year-old Christopher Travis McDonald.
On May 22, 2024, at approximately 11:20am, Nelson House RCMP received a report stating that Christopher McDonald, of Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation, was missing since the morning of May 16.
Police learned that McDonald had been camping in the bush with a group of people and has has not been seen since he reportedly left the camp on foot. The camp was located on Highway 391, west of Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation.
RCMP have conducted extensive patrols of the area unsuccessfully. RCMP Search and Rescue, as well as RCMP Police Dog Services, have been assisting with the search.
Christopher McDonald is described as 6 feet tall, weighing 143 pounds, and having black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and white Ecko sweater and black pants.
