A 26-year-old Ste. Agathe man has been seriously injured after his vehicle rolled into a ditch at the intersection of Highway 75 and Provincial Road 210.
On May 24, 2017, at approximately 11:55pm, a St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP officer was conducting a patrol on Highway 75 when he observed a pickup truck in the ditch at the intersection of Highway 75 and Provincial Road 210. The officer located the driver of the pickup truck, who had been ejected, lying unconscious on the roadway. The officer then began administering CPR while waiting for EMS to arrive.
Early police investigation has revealed that the pickup truck was traveling north and was attempting to turn east onto PR 210. As a result of excessive speed, the driver lost control and rolled into the ditch.
RCMP report that the 26-year-old male driver from Ste. Agathe was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say that the driver was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision and it is unknown if alcohol was a factor. Officers from the St. Pierre-Jolys Detachment, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.

RCMP report that the 26-year-old male driver succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision.
