The City of Steinbach would like to inform residents, and those traveling in the area, that construction has started at the intersection of Loewen Boulevard and Highway 12. As a result, the median lanes in both directions are closed from Elmdale Street to Stonebridge Crossing until further notice.
City officials say that travel is restricted to the outer lanes in both directions. Left turns from Highway 12 onto Loewen Boulevard are currently permissible.
The City thanks motorists for slowing down and exercising caution when traveling in the affected area and thanks the public in advance for their patience as the project begins.
