A 62-year-old male suspect was recently arrested and charged in connection to a firearms related investigation in Winnipeg Beach, Manitoba.
Gimli RCMP recently responded to a report of possible shots being fired. Members were told that the shots were being directed towards a vehicle as it was traveling on Silverdale Avenue in Winnipeg Beach. No injuries were reported.
Police were soon after advised that a 62-year-old male, from an address on Silverdale Avenue, had pointed a firearm at the victim and then returned inside the home.
Officers arrested the 62-year-old male and drafted up a search warrant to locate the firearm. The result of the search led to the seizure of a shotgun as well as a pellet gun and ammunition.
RCMP report that 62-year-old Perry Ducharme was remanded into custody on numerous charges, including discharge of a firearm with intent and uttering threats.
