Gimli RCMP are reporting that a 33-year-old male pilot suffered only minor injuries after the plane he was flying went down in a treed area, south of the intersection of Highway 68 and Road 233, near Arborg, Manitoba.
On July 21, 2024, at approximately 1:10pm, Gimli RCMP responded to a plane crash west of Arborg. Police say that a crop dusting plane was spraying a field when one of the wings hit a tree, causing the plane to crash.
RCMP report that the pilot and lone occupant, a 33-year-old male from the RM of Bifrost, suffered only minor injuries resulting from the crash. Members noted that the man was taken to hospital.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada was notified of the incident.
