This summer at Steinbach’s annual Summer in the City Festival, the public will have an opportunity to taste the world from numerous food vendors showcasing the many different nationalities representing our local community.
Participating countries and cultures that will be represented at this summer’s festival will be as follows:
- China: Chicken Balls, Scallop Shrimp, and Spring Rolls
- Columbia: Lamb Burgers and Lamb Empanadas
- Germany: Currywurst, and Steak or Schnitzel on a Bun
- Jamaica: Jerk Chicken, Curried Lamb, and Jamaican Patties
- Mennonite: Waffles with White Sauce
- Mexico: Enchiladas and Tacos
- Nigeria: Fried Plantain, Chicken Stew, and Chin Chin
- Paraguay: Empanadas
- Philippines: Pork BBQ Skewers, Halo Halo
The public will be invited to stroll through the booth area in downtown Steinbach and sample a taste of the many cultures that make Steinbach unique – a wealth of cultural cuisines will be waiting to be shared.
