Police Service Dog Marook recently helped track down a male suspect after a traffic stop attempt failed at a location in Dauphin, Manitoba.

Dauphin RCMP recently conducted a traffic stop on Mountain Avenue in Dauphin as part of an ongoing investigation. When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle by activating the lights and sirens on the police vehicle, the suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed.

Police say that the suspect vehicle ran a red light on Main Street and struck another vehicle, subsequently spinning and then striking a 26-year-old male pedestrian. The suspect vehicle then continued and struck a parked vehicle. At this time, the driver and passenger fled on foot.
