Spruce Plains RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing elderly man, 81-year-old George Haslen.
On November 22, 2024, at 8:20pm, Spruce Plains (Neepawa) RCMP received a report stating that George Haslen had not returned home from a drive earlier that afternoon.
Police say that Haslen was last seen on November 21 at 3pm, when he left his home in his white 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn pickup truck bearing Manitoba licence plate BEA 873.
George Haslen is described as being six foot one inch tall, weighs 175 pounds, and has grey hair. He was last seen wearing a red plaid flannel shirt, grey pants, blue hat and winter boots.
Extensive patrols by the RCMP and his family have yielded negative results so far. Police and family are concerned for George Haslen’s wellbeing as he’s not dressed for the weather.

Spruce Plains (Neepawa) RCMP are reporting that at approximately 12:10pm on November 23, 2024, searchers located the pickup truck, with George Haslen inside. The truck was located on a rural road north west of Rapid City. Local first responders provided immediate medical assistance, but Haslen was pronounced deceased on scene.
