The City of Steinbach’s Parks and Recreation Department has announced that both of Steinbach’s outdoor rinks are now open for the 2024-25 season winter season.
City officials say that the community outdoor rink by the T.G. Smith Arena offers on-site parking with light lines in the rink, set to turn off at 10pm daily. The rink is located on the corner of Barkman Avenue and Elmdale Street and offers both skating and shinny hockey.
Staff noted that the outdoor leisure skating rink, located by the Jake Epp Library at 255 Elmdale Street, is setup for pleasure skating only.
