Manitoba Hydro is resuming normal billing, but some customers may still experience delays receiving bills in the mail while Canada Post works through its backlog following the labour disruption.

Some customers will not receive a December bill in the mail. They can sign up for an online account at hydro.mb.ca/signup, call 1-888-624-9376 or just wait for their January bill. Manitoba Hydro will continue to waive late payment charges until Canada Post service returns to normal.

Some customers may receive a November bill that was stuck in transit during the Canada Post strike. It can be disregarded.

Manitoba Hydro will stop sending automated bill reminder calls and text messages to customers who receive paper bills.

“During the Canada Post labour disruption, Manitoba Hydro customers who normally receive a paper bill were able to call us or sign up for an online account and those options are still available,” said Peter Chura, Media Relations Officer for Manitoba Hydro. “We thank customers for their continued patience.”

There are no changes for customers who have paperless online accounts.
