Blue Hills RCMP are asking the public for any information into the whereabouts of a missing woman from the Alexander area, 78-year-old Rita Anne Mawer.
On December 25, 2024, at 8:30pm, Blue Hills RCMP received a report stating that Rita Anne Mawer was missing. Rita, who goes by “Anne”, told her family she was returning home from Brandon. She had left at 5pm and it is believed that she may have gotten lost due to the fog in the area.
Rita was last seen in her vehicle at approximately 9:30pm. At the time, she was heading east on Provincial Road 259, driving towards Rivers in her dark green coloured 2014 Honda CRV with Manitoba plate GXC 479.
RCMP, along with family members, have been searching the roads in the area without success.
