Two suspects are currently wanted by police after being involved in a shooting and assault incident that recently occurred at a business located in Ashern, Manitoba.
Ashern RCMP recently responded to a report of a disturbance at a business on Railway Avenue in the community. Upon arrival at the scene, officers learned that a female suspect had attacked both a male and female with a knife. During the altercation, another male suspect was seen entering the establishment with a firearm, but quickly departed.
Employees told police that shortly after, a gunshot was heard from outside in the parking lot.
Police soon after discovered that a vehicle had been struck as a result of the incident, with no injuries being reported. At this time, the male and female suspects had fled the scene.
The victims, a 43-year-old male, and 42-year-old female, both from Ashern, transported themselves to hospital for treatment with minor injuries. While at the hospital, they learned that their residence had been shot at, subsequently damaging a vehicle in the process.
RCMP report that after numerous patrols in the area, they were unable to locate the suspects.
