The City of Steinbach would like residents to be aware of a road closure on a portion of First Street, west of Lumber Avenue, scheduled to start at 8am on Wednesday, February 26th and ending in the afternoon.
City officials say that the scheduled closure is to accommodate for the removal of a Dutch Elm-diseased tree. A portion of the north sidewalk on First Street west of Lumber Avenue will also be closed while the tree is being removed.
The City thanks all motorists and pedestrians in advance for exercising caution and following all posted signage in the area as work is completed.
