Steinbach RCMP are reporting that two individuals have died as the result of a recent head-on collision that occurred near Zhoda, Manitoba.
On March 23, 2025, at 9:25am, Steinbach RCMP responded to a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 12, approximately five kilometers north of Zhoda, MB.
Police investigators believe that a minivan, traveling north on Highway 12, attempted to pass a semi-trailer when it collided head-on with a southbound SUV.
Police say that the 76-year-old male driver of the minivan, along with a 72-year-old female passenger, were pronounced deceased on scene. A 37-year-old male passenger was transported to hospital in serious condition. The 41-year-old male driver of the SUV was transported to hospital in critical condition.
Steinbach RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate this incident.
