The City of Steinbach is preparing for a full day of celebration activities on Canada Day, Saturday, July 1, 2017 and is advising the public of some great locations to take-in the evening fireworks display.
The City has once again teamed up with the Mennonite Heritage Village to promote family fun activities starting with free admission to the museum at 10am until the fireworks finale at 10:45pm at the Steinbach Soccer Park.
The City says that prime viewing locations for the fireworks will be in the Soccer Park, Southland Church parking lot, L.A. Barkman Park (Abe’s Hill) and along McKenzie Avenue and Bush Farm Road.
City staff notes that for safety reasons, the pathways between Bush Farm Road and the Soccer Park will be unavailable for public use from 8pm to midnight on July 1st.
