The City of Steinbach has announced that starting Monday, April 28, at 3am, construction will be resuming on the PTH 12 and Loewen Boulevard intersection project. At this time, both northbound and southbound traffic on PTH 12 will be redirected to use the southbound lanes, south of Loewen Boulevard.
City officials say that the update to traffic management is to allow the contractor time to complete the installation of a box culvert across the PTH 12 northbound lanes. Once the contractor is ready to cross the southbound lanes with the box culvert, traffic will be shifted onto the northbound lanes again.
The City thanks all drivers and residents for exercising caution and following signage when traveling in the area, and for their patience as work on the Loewen and PTH 12 intersection renewal project continues.
