Selkirk RCMP are reporting that a 30-year-old motorcyclist has recently died after colliding with a 3-ton truck near Mitchell Bay in the Rural municipality of St. Andrews, Manitoba.
On April 26, 2025, at approximately 4pm, Selkirk RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 9, near Mitchell Bay in the RM of St. Andrews.
Police say that a motorcycle was traveling south on Highway 9 when it collided with a 3-ton truck that was turning westbound onto Mitchell Bay. The 30-year-old rider of the motorcycle, from Winnipeg, was pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that the 67-year-old driver of the 3-ton truck had his licence suspended under the Highway Traffic Act. Members noted that alcohol is believed to be a factor in this collision.
