On July 29, 2017, shortly after 6:30pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Provincial Road 433, also known as Lee River Road, in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba.
Early police investigation shows that a vehicle lost control on a gravel portion of Lee River Road, entered the south ditch, rolled and landed on its roof.
Police say that the 43-year-old female driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, from the RM of Lac du Bonnet, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim did not appear to have been wearing a seatbelt.
RCMP report that alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor in this incident. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
