RCMP have located and taken into custody a 16-year-old suspect in connection to a recent homicide investigation.
On August 5, 2017, the Dakota Ojibway Police Service and local RCMP began investigating a homicide that took place on the Long Plain First Nation. Police say that a 16-year-old male suspect was charged with first degree murder in connection with the homicide and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On August 7, 2017, RCMP report that the 16-year-old suspect had been located and is currently in police custody.
