On September 9, 2017, at approximately 7:45pm, officers from the St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP were dispatched to the scene of a Side-by-Side ATV rollover south of Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba.
Police investigators believe the Side-by-Side ATV was heading north in a ditch beside the old 59 Highway when it rolled, ejecting both occupants from the vehicle.
Police say that a 53-year-old male from Hughenden, Alberta, along with a 36-year-old male from Calgary, Alberta, were transported to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in this incident. Both occupants were not wearing any helmets and it is unknown if seatbelts were in use.
