A 39-year-old Winnipeg man is facing drug trafficking charges after recently being arrested by RCMP as a result of a traffic stop.
On August 18, 2016, after a short term investigation, RCMP “D” Division Federal Serious and Organized Crime unit conducted a traffic stop by Broadway Avenue and Maryland Street in Winnipeg. As a result of the stop, a 39-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested.
During the subsequent search of the vehicle, police seized approximately three kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride (powder cocaine) as well as three electronic communication devices. The male was the sole occupant of the Toyota Corolla.
RCMP report that 39-year-old Graham Gordon Spence of Winnipeg has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Spence was released on a cash bail recognizance and is to appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court on September 22, 2016. He must abide by a number of conditions while out on judicial interim release.
