On September 27, 2017, just after midnight, Emerson RCMP were dispatched to a vehicle and pedestrian collision on Highway 201, just west of Roseau River First Nation, Manitoba.
Police say that a 43-year-old male from Saskatchewan was dressed in dark clothing and walking westbound on Highway 201 when he was struck by a westbound vehicle. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
Early police investigation shows that the driver of the vehicle was not impaired and speed was not a factor.
There have been no charges laid in this incident and police continue to investigate.
