On October 19, 2017, MennoMart in Steinbach, a non-profit organization which raises money for charities within the local community, presented Steinbach Community Outreach with a $1,000 donation. The funds will go towards helping at-risk individuals in the local community.
“Steinbach Community Outreach is a charitable organization working with the poor and homeless in our community,” said Myra Gerbrandt. “We are pleased to receive this donation from MennoMart. Every donation we receive enables us to help a homeless person find a roof over their heads, assist the underprivileged with basic needs, and work towards helping our guests become a healthy, functioning part of the community.”
“At MennoMart, supporting local charities is our business,” said Steve Denault, Manager of MennoMart. “This donation will assist Steinbach Community Outreach to continue providing such needed services locally.” Denault noted that the company sells donated and other goods, directing profits to local charities.
