On October 25, 2017, at approximately 7:35am, officers from the Headingley RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Municipal Road 44 North near MacDonald Road, approximately five kilometres south-west of La Salle, in the RM of MacDonald.
Police investigators believe a pickup truck, being driven by a 44-year-old man from Sanford, was traveling west on Municipal Road 44 when he lost control of his vehicle and rolled. The driver was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
RCMP say that it is unknown at this time if alcohol and speed were factors in this collision.
Officers from the Headingley RCMP Detachment along with a RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
