A La Broquerie man and a Zhoda woman have been arrested and charged by Steinbach RCMP in connection to a recent vehicle theft investigation.
On October 13, 2017, Steinbach RCMP received a report that a vehicle had been stolen from a local residence in the RM of La Broquerie. On October 31, as a result of an investigation into persons selling property which had been in the stolen vehicle, 25-year-old Kelly Jay Reimer was arrested. Reimer has been charged with several offences including possession of property obtained by crime and possession for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine.
Subsequently, Kaitlyn Fehr, a 23-year resident of Zhoda, MB, was arrested and charged for being in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Police noted that a 24-year-old woman was also arrested in relation to the stolen property, but has been released without charge.
RCMP report that both Kelly Reimer and Kaitlyn Fehr have been remanded in custody. The vehicle, a 2014 red Chevrolet Cruze, bearing Manitoba licence plate GZH294, has not yet been recovered.
