On Sunday, November 12, 2017, at approximately 9:20pm, officers from the Carman and Morden RCMP Detachments responded to a report of a male being stabbed at a residence located in the Town of Carman.
Officers arrived at the residence and located a 17-year-old male suffering from stab wounds. The victim, from Carman, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Preliminary police investigation determined that the victim and a 22-year-old male had an altercation at the residence. During the course of the altercation the victim was stabbed. The suspect was identified to police and was located at another residence in Carman where he was arrested without incident.
RCMP have charged 22-year-old Carman resident, Ashtan Peters, with aggravated assault and with failing to comply with a probation order.
