RCMP are currently investigating a number of vehicle and garage break-ins that occurred sometime overnight on November 23, 2017, in Carman, Manitoba.
Initial police investigation has shown that in all of the incidents, keys were left in vehicles. Police say that the vehicles and garage doors had been left unlocked, giving suspects an easy target.
To help prevent theft crimes, RCMP advise locking all vehicle doors and removing all valuables from vehicles, including garage door openers, as these can be used to gain entry to the garage and house.
