Two youth are facing numerous drug-related charges after being recently being arrested by Thompson RCMP during the search of a local residence.
During the early evening hours of November 29, 2017, Thompson RCMP executed a search warrant under the Criminal Code of Canada and the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence located on Rainbow Crescent. As a result, police located and seized approximately nine ounces of cocaine, various drug paraphernalia items and a small quantity of Canadian currency.
RCMP report that two males were arrested at the scene, a 19-year-old and 16-year-old youth, both from Thompson. The youth were later released on court imposed conditions for a January court date in Thompson. Both youth will face charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and trafficking in a controlled substance.
