Steinbach RCMP are continuing to investigate a recent incident where a fraudulent American banknote was used at a gas station located in Steinbach.
On November 14, 2017 a fraudulent American banknote was used at the Co-op on Brandt Street in Steinbach. With public assistance, the male suspect was identified and subsequently came forward to assist with the investigation.
After speaking to the male in question, Steinbach RCMP believe the use of the banknote was accidental in nature. As a result, no charges have been laid and RCMP continue to investigate the origin of the banknote.
