On December 14, 2017, at approximately 4:05am, Portage la Prairie RCMP responded to a stabbing incident that occurred at an apartment complex located on 3rd Street Southwest in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers located a 24-year-old male within the apartment that had been stabbed. The male was transported to hospital in stable condition.
RCMP report that a 27-year-old Portage la Prairie woman has been arrested in connection to this stabbing and remains in police custody. Charges are pending.
Portage la Prairie RCMP continue to investigate this incident.
