A 23-year-old Winnipeg woman is facing numerous drug-related charges after recently attempting to smuggle drugs into Stony Mountain Institution.
Police say that on December 16, 2017, inmates at Stony Mountain Institution were given a holiday celebration with their families. Through a joint investigation, RCMP and Corrections Officers became aware that a family member of an inmate attending the event was attempting to smuggle drugs into the institution to give to that inmate.
As a result of the investigation, police seized a vial of trenbolone, a vial of testosterone and 25 grams of cocaine.
RCMP report that a 23-year-old female from Winnipeg was arrested at Stony Mountain Institution and charged with trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
