Portage la Prairie RCMP made numerous arrests after recently executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a local residence.
On December 20, 2017, at approximately 4:10am, Portage la Prairie RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act warrant at a location on 9th Street NW in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Police say that items seized during the search included six firearms, ammunition, cocaine, fentanyl, a ballistic vest and some Canadian currency.
RCMP report that five individuals in the home were taken into custody as a result of this incident. Arrested were two 20-year-old males from Winnipeg, a 23-year-old male and two 16-year-old males from Portage la Prairie. All suspects were arrested and are facing a number of drug and firearm-related charges.
