As a result of multiple search warrants recently executed by Thompson RCMP, three individuals are facing numerous drug-related charges.

On December 21, 2017, Thompson RCMP executed two CDSA search warrants at local residences located on Princeton Drive and Waterloo Crescent. At the Princeton Drive residence, RCMP located and seized one ounce of cocaine, drug trafficking paraphernalia and a collapsible baton. At the Waterloo Crescent residence, RCMP seized approximately .3 ounces of cocaine as well as a large quantity of money.

As a result of these searches, multiple charges are pending against a 38-year-old male from Thompson. As well, Collin Burnett, a 25-year-old Thompson man, has been charged with possession for the purposes of trafficking.

On December 22, 2017, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant was executed by Thompson RCMP at a residence located on Yale Avenue in Thompson, Manitoba. Police say that with the assistance of Police Service Dog Egan, approximately 22.5 ounces of cocaine, as well as drug paraphernalia, were located within the home and seized.

RCMP report that 33-year-old Kevin Rutherford of Thompson was arrested at the residence and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. He is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Thompson on February 9, 2018.
