On December 31, 2017, at approximately 8:10am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a trailer fire at a residence located on Bonneteau Avenue in the community of Ile Des Chenes.
Upon arrival, smoke was seen coming from the trailer. Officers observed firefighters exiting the residence carrying a 30-year-old female who was later pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner continue to investigate.
