On January 3, 2018 at approximately 8:30pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to an armed robbery at the Sarto General Store.
Police say that two masked suspects entered the store and demanded money from the store employee. One of the suspects was seen carrying a long-barrelled firearm that he pointed towards the store employee. Both of the suspects departed the store carrying a backpack that was used to transport the stolen goods. Items stolen included cash and a small amount of liquor.
RCMP report that the employee was not injured as a result of this incident.
Both of the suspects were described as being male, Caucasian, 18 to 25 years of age, dressed in black and had their faces covered.
