Assistant Superintendents, Chris Gudziunas and Rick Ardies have formally announced their pending retirements from the Hanover School Division (HSD).

Mr. Ardies’ retirement will be effective at the end of this school year July 31, 2018. Mr. Gudziunas will continue as Assistant Superintendent through to Dec. 31, 2018, which will allow for a supportive transition to the new hires. The hiring process will begin immediately, with an anticipated start date of Aug. 1, 2018 for both positions.

Mr. Gudziunas (33 years) and Mr. Ardies (30 years) are long-serving HSD employees with distinguished careers in education, both having held roles as Teachers, Principals and Assistant Superintendents. As individuals and divisional leaders, their contributions to public education in the Hanover School Division are truly remarkable and will have lasting impact. Their passion for learning and unwavering support of student-centred education has enriched the lives of students, staff, colleagues, and parents in all of our school communities.

The Board of Trustees thanks Mr. Gudziunas and Mr. Ardies for their dedicated service and wishes them well in their pending retirements.
