A 36-year-old Blumernort man is facing numerous theft and weapons charges after recently being arrested by Steinbach RCMP.
On February 6, 2018, at approximately 10:45pm, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint of a vehicle that was stolen from an address on Hanover Street in Steinbach. At approximately 11:05pm officers located the vehicle on Barkman Avenue with a man occupying the driver’s seat.
RCMP report that 36-year-old Paul Claeys of Blumenort was arrested and charged for possession of property obtained by crime over $5000, knowingly possessing a prohibited weapon, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public and failing to comply with a weapons prohibition order.
The investigation continues and further charges are pending.
