On February 19, 2018, at approximately 12:20am, Morden RCMP were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle fatal collision on Highway 32, half a kilometre west of Road 21 West in the RM of Stanley, Manitoba.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a pickup truck on fire in the south ditch.
Police say that a 19-year-old male from Rosengart, Manitoba had been thrown from the vehicle and was deceased on scene. An 18-year-old male from Winkler was also ejected from the vehicle. He sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to local hospital.
RCMP report that alcohol is considered to be a factor in the collision and neither occupant of the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
