Steinbach RCMP have made three arrests in connection to a recent break and enter investigation.
On February 10, 2018, Steinbach RCMP arrested Chaz Hannah, a 27-year-old male Steinbach resident, with break and enter. Hannah appeared in Steinbach Provincial Court on March 1, 2018.
During the course of this arrest, Police located 23-year-old Kaitlyn Fehr of Zhoda and 27-year-old Tyler Evan Barkman of Steinbach within the residence. Fehr and Barkman were also arrested for being unlawfully in a dwelling. During the course of their arrest, numerous items of stolen property were recovered as well as “break and enter” tools. The majority of the property has been returned to their rightful owners, but police are still in possession of two garage door openers.
RCMP report that Fehr and Barkman are facing numerous criminal charges related to this investigation. Police noted that Barkman was also charged with uttering threats to kill as well as assaulting a police officer.
Fehr and Barkman were both remanded in custody.
