A 55-year-old Lac Du Bonnet man has died after crashing his snowmobile into a tree near Pinawa, Manitoba.
On March 1, 2018, just after 11:30am, Pinawa RCMP responded to a report of a snowmobile collision on Snowman Trail 216, approximately 10 kilometres northeast of Pinawa.
Police say that a 55-year-old Lac Du Bonnet man was traveling west on the trail when he failed to negotiate a corner and collided with a tree. The rider was pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that the deceased was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision and that the investigation is ongoing.
