Thompson RCMP are currently investigating a recent homicide incident that occurred at a local residence.
On March 26, 2018, at approximately 10:30pm, Thompson RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence. When officers attended, they found a 51-year-old female severely injured.
Police say that the woman was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. A 39-year-old male was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that 21-year-old Conan Lewis was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with second degree murder. The accused and the victim were known to each other.
RCMP Thompson Major Crime Services, Winnipeg Major Crime Services and RCMP Forensic Identification Services are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
