A 41-year-old Shoal River First Nation has died after being struck by a vehicle on Main Street in Swan River, Manitoba.
On April 12, 2018, at approximately 5:20pm, Swan River RCMP received a report of a pedestrian being struck in the 1200 block of Main Street in Swan River, Manitoba.
Police say that a 41-year-old female pedestrian from the Shoal River First Nation was struck by a westbound pickup truck as she was crossing Main Street. She was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition where she later succumbed to her injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol is not a factor in the collision and that the 85-year-old male driver of the vehicle, from Swan River, was not injured in the collision.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
