Thompson RCMP are currently investigating a homicide incident after responding to an injured male in the parking lot of a local hotel.
On April 21, 2018, just before 1am, Thompson RCMP were called to the Burntwood Hotel on a report of an injured male in the parking lot. When officers arrived at the scene, a 35-year-old male with serious injuries had been transported to local hospital.
The individual was pronounced deceased at the hospital and police are investigating this death as a homicide.
RCMP believe this to be an isolated incident, and there are no concerns for public safety stemming from this incident.
RCMP Major Crime Services and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section are assisting with this ongoing investigation.
