The RM of Hanover Fire Ban, which was put in place on April 16, 2018, will now include a total ban on all fires, including backyard fire pits. This update will be effective at 12pm on Friday, May 11, 2018 and will run through until conditions improve with a significant rainfall.
The Hanover Fire Department have been called out almost daily in the past two weeks and are needing a reprieve from battling these grass fires.
The RM reports that all Burn Permits issued to farmers for controlled burning of their crop residue will be cancelled at 12pm on May 11, 2018.

The RM of Hanover has announced that the Fire Ban has been lifted as of 11am on Friday, May 18, 2018.
