Keystone Agricultural Producers will conduct a walking tour on Sunday, September 18, 2016, to illustrate, through the buildings in the Exchange District, how agriculture influenced Winnipeg’s early development – and how it continues to do so.

Past, present and future will be highlighted through both heritage and newer buildings in the East and West Exchange.

The hour-long tour departs at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. from in front of the City Hall, 510 Main Street. It will stop first on Princess Street and the first grain exchange buildings, then take in the elegant banks along Main, and then move into the West Exchange. The tour will wrap up at the Richardson building.

Admission is free and all are welcome. This event is part of Open Farm Day, where farms across the province open their gates to give people an understanding of agriculture.
