A 20-year-old Dauphin woman has recently died after rolling her vehicle into a ditch on Road 147 North in the RM of Dauphin, Manitoba.
On July 10, 2018, at approximately 2:10am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a fatal collision on Road 147 North, approximately half a kilometre east of Provincial Road 362 in the RM of Dauphin.
Police say that the vehicle was traveling west when it is is believed to have driven off the road, hitting an approach and rolling. As a result, the driver and lone occupant, a 20-year-old RM of Dauphin woman, was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was subsequently transported to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.
RCMP report that the female driver was not wearing a seatbelt and speed is believed to have played a role in the crash. It is unknown at this time whether alcohol was a factor in the collision. An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
