Under brilliantly sunny skies, Rounds 5 and 6 of the Slingshot Racing Cup took place on July 18 at Gimli Motorsport Park, seeing some intense wheel-to-wheel action.
After a slight setback in Qualifying, Myles Kraut clawed his way back to dominate both races and drive to a double victory in his Karma Property Management Slingshot.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better day today,” said Myles Kraut. “The weather was perfect and to come away with two wins while enjoying some close racing was great.”
Organized by SAR Sport & Recreation in Steinbach and professional race car driver David Richert, the Slingshot Racing Cup, sponsored by AMSOIL and Rainbow Trailers, is the only racing championship in the world to feature Polaris’ unique 3-wheeled roadster called the Slingshot.
“I’ve really enjoyed working with all of our drivers as they push hard to improve their skills on the race track,” said David Richert. “The reward comes when you get to see everyone improving their lap times and the field of drivers bunch up into some extremely entertaining wheel to wheel racing action.”
