A 37-year-old Zhoda, Manitoba man has died as a result of a recent vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 52 in Mitchell, Manitoba.
On July 26, 2018, at approximately 6:30pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 52 near the intersection of Ash Street in Mitchell, Manitoba.
Police say that a car was traveling east on Highway 52 at a high rate of speed when it struck another car, lost control, and rolled. The 37-year-old lone male occupant of the first car, from Zhoda, Manitoba, was ejected and pronounced deceased on scene. The driver of the car that was hit was not injured.
RCMP report that alcohol may have been a factor in the collision and that the deceased was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
The investigation continues with the assistance of an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist.
